Spotlight:Sharon Cory

I DON’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE

February 1 – March 31, 2026

Sharon Cory is renowned for her bold, large-scale, figurative works, as well as her vibrant representations of Winnipeg scenes.  She is also a gifted colourist who has found a happy balance between realism and abstraction.  While scenes of Winnipeg have often played a role in her paintings, she is more interested in capturing a feeling — the mood of familiarity and recognition conveyed by the street scene vignettes.

For her new exhibition I Don’t Live Here Anymore Sharon finds herself exploring new ground.  Winnipeg maybe, but with new eyes.  In saying goodbye to the familiar, she examines what moving on looks like. This show reflects what she’s learned so far but hasn’t said yet.

Join us for the opening reception Sunday, February 1 from 1pm – 3pm.  Artist will be in attendance.
