As both a sculptor and a painter, Mary Lowe’s work pairs playfulness with precision. The whimsical meanderings in her paintings encourage viewers to discover the unexpected within her pieces.
As a sculptor, Mary pays tribute to the animals she loves, capturing their beauty, nobility and grace. She finds their forms, faces and colours endlessly fascinating.
Mary graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Fine Arts Majoring in sculpture. Her clay sculptures and watercolour paintings have been shown in solo and group shows throughout Manitoba and Ontario as well as the Calgary Stampede.
